Jason Tors' paintings are never planned ahead of time. Through the process of improvising and reacting to each layer of the painting, meaning emerges. He uses printed material and paint to create work that communicates in a non linear way.
Jason is a designer and a photographer as well as co-owner of Bad Art gallery/studio/school in Littleton NH. He lives and works in Sugar Hill NH.
Jason grew up in the suburbs outside New York City in the 70s-80s. His early influences came from graffiti art, break dancing, skateboarding, comics and cartoons. Jason attended Skidmore College from 1993-1997 and majored in Studio Art. After graduating he moved to New York City and worked at a few web design agencies. While in NYC he took multiple exposure photos (on film) of street art, grafitti and urban decay. In 2001 Jason moved to northern NH to be closer to hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding.
